Brian M. Zorn
As one of the most respected attorneys in Rochester, Brian has been awarded Martindale-Hubbell’s highest rating and inclusion in the personal injury law section of The Best Lawyers in America.
Upon graduation from Syracuse University College of Law in 1977, Brian accepted a judicial clerkship at the New York State Appellate Division for the Fourth Department. After his clerkship, he joined the Litigation Department of the Rochester-based law firm of Nixon, Hargrave, Devans & Doyle (now Nixon Peabody), where he was named a partner. He left the firm in 1994, to join Hallenbeck, Lascell, Norris & Zorn.
In 1997, he joined Faraci Lange as a partner to focus exclusively on representing injured individuals. Since joining the firm, Brian has obtained numerous substantial recoveries that have helped injured individuals and their families cope with the impact of their injuries.
He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, the American Association for Justice, the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and the Monroe County Bar Association.
He has served on numerous Monroe County Bar Association committees, including the Academy of Law, Judiciary, Communications (member and chair), Litigation Counsel (Co-chair), Deaf Access Task Force and Joint Monroe County Bar Association/Monroe County Medical Society Task Force, and he currently chairs the subcommittee for State Courts.
Brian is an active member of the community, serving for many years on the National Kidney Foundation of Upstate New York Board of Directors and as its vice-president and president. He also served on its Executive, Finance, and Development committees, among others. He currently serves as a member of the National Organization’s Affiliate Relations Committee and has served on its Efficiency and Effectiveness Task Force, subcommittee to Evaluate Affiliate Share and Task Force to Evaluate Performance Standards for Affiliates.
He is a long-standing member of the Volunteer Legal Services Project Board of Directors, where he has served as vice president and president and chaired numerous committees and currently chairs the Nominating Committee. He also served on the Town of Victor Growth Management Committee.
Brian has co-authored a chapter on New York law in A.I.A. Insurance and Tort Law Reference and has participated in and chaired numerous legal education programs and seminars for other attorneys on medical malpractice, product liability and other aspects of personal injury law.
