Raul Emilio Martinez
After working in the Bronx for five years, Raul moved to Rochester where he began his career in civil litigation. He joined one of Rochester’s oldest firms, Chamberlain D’Amanda, where ultimately he became a partner specializing in plaintiff’s personal injury work. At Chamberlain, he tried cases to verdict dealing with premises liability, products liability, motor vehicle accidents and handled a variety of other personal injury litigation. In 2003, Raul became senior staff counsel to One Beacon Insurance Company, a liability insurance carrier, where he conducted an insurance defense practice defending corporations and individuals against personal injury law suits. At One Beacon, he continued to pick juries, try cases and advocate in numerous arbitrations and mediations. Not only did he continue his trial practice, but his work on behalf of One Beacon provided a unique insight into the policy and decision making process of a large liability carrier. Raul joined Faraci Lange in January 2009.
Raul has belonged to numerous Monroe County Bar Association committees over the years and has been a participant in several seminar presentations. He is currently on the board of Volunteer Legal Services Project, an agency that coordinates free legal services for low income individulals and through VLSP, Raul provides many hours of pro bono services. He is married with two children and loves snowboarding. He is fluent in Spanish.
