Tippi Haag-Olson
In her 7 years with Faraci Lange, Tippi has assisted in several catastrophic birth injury cases and has played a critical role in identifying what took place and in finding experts who could elaborate on the care and resulting injuries to mother and/or child. Her assistance in the identification of facts and experts has been integral in the successful development and resolution of cases involving delays in diagnosis and treatment of infection; two that resulted in death, and another in the loss of vision. Tippi has also played an important support role in several serious auto accident cases.
Before joining Faraci Lange, Tippi created and directed the legal nursing department of the Boston plaintiff personal injury firm Lubin & Meyer. Her focus during those years was assisting the firm in the screening and development of medical malpractice cases including catastrophic injury claims. There she played a critical role in the client interview process, the refining of systems for the analysis of claims, and the recruitment and retention of medical experts.
In the 1980s, Tippi worked as a nurse-paralegal for the Boston law firm Parker, Coulter, Daley & White, where she supported a team of attorneys who defended product liability cases involving DES exposure, tampon-related toxic shock syndrome and the Dalkon Shield.
Tippi received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the State University College of New York at Brockport in 1975. Her clinical nursing has been at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY and the Beverly Hospital in Beverly, MA in obstetrics/gynecology, newborn nursery, geriatrics and cancer care and treatment.
Tippi has taught in the paralegal program of the Boston University Metropolitan College, and has been a guest speaker at seminars by MCLE - Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education and the Community Nursing Center of the University of Rochester School of Nursing.
