Marissa K. Spitali

Paralegal
Marissa is a Rochester native who grew up in Irondequoit and attended Eastridge High School.

In 2002, Marissa graduated from the University of Scranton with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Sociology. While receiving her education at the University of Scranton, she spent time as an intern at the Lackawanna County Court House working within the family court system. There, she assisted citizens in filing for Protection From Abuse Orders and had the opportunity to become familiarized with family court proceedings. She then returned to Rochester and began paralegal work in the office of Joseph S. Guadagnino, Esq. gaining knowledge and experience in real estate law, where she stayed for the next five years.

In 2007, Marissa obtained her Master’s of Social Work degree, graduating from the Greater Rochester Collaborative Master’s in Social Work Program, a collaborative program between the State University of New York at Brockport and Nazareth College. While earning her MSW, she interned at the Men’s Education for Non-Violence Workshop, a program that operates as part of a coordinated community effort to end domestic violence. During this time, she also interned within the bone marrow transplant unit at Strong Memorial Hospital working with a unique population of persons with life-threatening illness. There, she assessed patients’ needs and provided psychosocial support, education, and connection to community resources to patients undergoing transplant and their families.

In September of 2007, Marissa began working as a paralegal at Faraci Lange LLP. Her diverse background within various legal sectors coupled with her education and compassionate nature has prepared her for a meaningful career in the legal field of medical malpractice, wrongful death, product liability and personal injury matters. Marissa works closely with attorneys Joseph Regan, Laurie Donofrio and Stephen Schwarz.
