Edward W. McKowne

Workers' Compensation Representative
Edward served two years in active military service with the United States Army from 1969 to 1971. After completing his military obligation he attended and graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1973.

Edward left his job with Dun & Bradstreet in 1976 to begin his career in the field of workers compensation with the State Insurance Fund. He was initially employed as a claims examiner, but in 1979 he was promoted to a Hearing Representative appearing before the Workers Compensation Board at the Administrative Law Judge Level as well as the making oral arguments before the Appeals Bureau.

In 1986 he was licensed to represent self insured employers. As a hearing representative Edward has handled as many as 50 cases per week before the Workers Compensation board. His experience includes legal research, preparation of legal briefs and appeals. He has extensive experience in the cross-examination of physicians and non-medical witnesses.

In 1999 Edward left his position representing employers and was hired by Faraci Lange. Edward currently holds a New York State License to represent the injured workers before the N.Y.S. Workers Compensation Board. In all Edward has 29 years experience in every aspect of the Workers Compensation system.
