Faraci Lange has successfully resolved thousands of cases for clients since 1968. Here are some summaries of just a small percentage of the defective drug and medical device cases that we have handled successfully.


Faraci Lange successfully resolved over one hundred claims on behalf of women injured by defective breast implants. Some had their implants rupture, others suffered severe local reaction to the silicone and still others suffered systemic autoimmune disorders.


Faraci Lange successfully resolved a claim on behalf of an Ontario man who received a defective contaminated knee joint prosthesis which caused severe infection and required removal and replacement. Because these devices only last 10-15 years and each time a replacement is needed more healthy bone needs to be sacrificed, the need to perform the immediate replacement caused significant future problems and disability.


Faraci Lange successfully resolved a case against a manufacturer of a heart valve, which was implanted in the plaintiff and which proved to be defective. The plaintiff suffered consequent heart dysfunction and required the removal of and implantation of another heart valve. 


Faraci Lange successfully resolved a claim on behalf of a Fairport woman and her husband who was given the wrong medication by a pharmacy. Instead of receiving a blood pressure medication she received an anti-seizure medication that caused a permanent loss of memory.


Successful recovery on a jury verdict against a Swedish manufacturing company of dialyzers on behalf of a twenty-eight year old man who sustained a permanent total bilateral hearing loss as a result of the manufactures negligence in recommending a method of use of its dialyzers which proved to be ototoxic to patients. The manufacturer recommended the doubling of dialyzers in each treatment, which caused a heavier concentration of chemicals to enter the patient’s blood stream then was safe.


Faraci Lange successfully represented the Estate and surviving husband and children of a thirty-six year old woman who died as a result of contracting guillian barre syndrome from the injection of a swine flu vaccine. The claim was made against the medical facility that injected the vaccine and the United States.


Representing eight clients who had embolic strokes and miocardial infarctions as a result of taking Vioxx. All eight have preliminary qualified for the global settlement entered into in 2007 by the manufacturer Merck.
