Antipsychotic Use Soars at Ontario Nursing Homes

According to a recent article posted on thespec.com, Ontario nursing homes have been drugging helpless seniors at an alarming rate with powerful antipsychotic drugs. An investigation revealed that long term care facilities often struggling with staffing shortages, have been providing risky drugs to calm and "restrain" wandering, agitated, and sometimes aggressive patients.
